Whilst the temples of Angkor are enough to draw most people to Cambodia, the country offers far more for the discerning traveler. This trip begins with the arresting temples of Angkor, before journeying to the vibrant capital of Phnom Penh. Finally, travel south to the beautiful pristine beaches of Sihanoukville for some rest and relaxation

Day1: Siem Reap Arrival.
Welcome to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor temples. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Angkor Archaeological Park encompasses dozens of temple ruins including Bayon, Banteay Srei and the legendary Angkor Wat. Built by Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat is considered a masterpiece of Khmer architecture. After that, continue to visit Angkor Thom from the west gate. From the enigmatic faces of Bayon temple to the intricate bas reliefs of the Terrace of the Elephants, Angkor Thom is filled with fabulous monuments. Lunch is at local restaurant on your own account.
In the afternoon, we visit Preah Khan temple. It means “Holy Sword” is one of the largest temple compounds in Angkor and is defended by four concentric walls. The main shrine and its adjoining buildings are richly decorated with Buddhist motifs and scenes from Hindu epics. We keep going to Preah Neak Pean to the Eastern Mebon and the various monuments like Ta Som, Preah Rup. Later afternoon, you will be back to hotel for relaxing.

We stop for lunch at a local village then continue on to visit the incredible jungle-covered temple: Beng Mealea. This distant temple is a gem in the midst of the jungle; half strangled with vines and decorated by lichen, Beng Mealea is the true adventure experience. On the way back to Siem Reap, visit a shadow puppet workshop and enjoy a traditional performance put on by the “Little Angels” orphanage and school. Return to Siem Reap in the late afternoon.

We will see a “floating village” – boats have been converted to look like houses and the “village” move from place to place following water levels.
